Shine Medi-Screen

Students are inherently healthy individuals and should not be viewed or treated as patients. The Shine Medi-Screen aims to swiftly screen students for potential future medical concerns, offering relevant advice accordingly. This process involves comparing collected data against established norms to generate suggestions for improved health.

With over a decade of service, Apollo Shine has amassed insights from more than a million screenings, guiding students and teachers toward optimal health. Screening methods are implemented both offline and online, depending on practicality. Developed by our Medical Director, a Senior Pediatric Intensivist, with input from Senior Consultants at Apollo Children’s Hospital, this screening identifies, tracks, and addresses common health issues early on. Consequently, all student members undergo annual screenings to monitor their health. These assessments include measurements such as height, weight, vitals, and examinations of various bodily systems, tailored to different age groups as outlined in the school section.

Periodic health screening & systemic examinations

Height, Weight and BMI

Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)

Respiration and Oxygen Levels

For college students, a more comprehensive version is employed, encompassing parameters like blood pressure and sometimes even electrocardiograms (ECGs), with additional time dedicated to understanding their concerns. Any abnormalities detected are flagged, and students receive counseling as necessary. If needed, Apollo Hospital’s Pro Health team offers specially curated packages at student-friendly rates. These services are also extended to all teaching and non-teaching staff on campus.
